Cinderella’s Carriage (above), created by Whitney Wynn, won the People’s Choice Award at this year’s Holiday Port Festival’s gingerbread contest. The tasty artwork was donated to the Bellingham Library and is on display there.
The Merry Ferry, created by the Woods Family, was another gingerbread favorite at the Festival. The students of Room 12 agreed to donate our ferry to the library. Ms. Graves, library assistant, discovered that the culinary culprit cooking up this craft was a former teacher at Geneva. Little did she know that her cooking creations would wind up back in her old school. Ms Graves also pointed out that when Ms Woods taught here, the school secretary's name was Mary Ferry. Coincidence? We think not!
